British Airways launches Singapore - Paris Promotion

Singapore an opportunity to see and enjoy one of the most
beautiful cities in the world - Paris - this July.
With return economy fares available between
Singapore and Paris from just Sin$1,610, BA’s latest ‘Destination
of the Month’ promotion is available for booking until 31 July
2009.

JAL Increases Cargo Fuel Surcharge
Posted , add a commentJapan Airlines has applied to the Japanese
Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism to revise
from August 1, 2009, its international cargo fuel surcharge for
flights departing from Japan only.
The international cargo
fuel surcharge on long-haul international routes will increase
from 45 yen to 66 yen per kg, on medium-haul international routes,
increase from 39 to 57 yen per kg, and on short-haul routes from
33 yen to 48 yen per kg.
Since April 1, 2009, JAL
started adjusting its fuel surcharge levels on a monthly basis by
using the one-month average fuel price of Singapore kerosene of
the month before last.
As the average fuel price of Singapore
kerosene in June 2009 was US$76.54 per barrel, the benchmark fuel
price used for calculation of the fuel surcharge level in August
will be within the range of US$75.00 to US$79.99 per barrel, resulting in this
latest fuel surcharge increment.
Jet Airways to Increase Flights between Mumbai and Bangkok
Posted , add a commentIndia’s Jet Airways is to add a second daily
service to Bangkok from Mumbai aboard its state-of-the-art Boeing
737-800 aircraft, effective August 16, 2009.
The airline currently operates a daily service
to Bangkok from Mumbai, as well as from Delhi and Kolkata.
Effective August 16, 2009, flight 9W 68 will depart Mumbai at
13:05, arriving in Bangkok at 18:55. Flight 9W 67 will then
depart Bangkok at 20:55, arriving in Mumbai at 23:40.
Jet Airways currently flies to 18 international destinations,
including New York (both JFK and Newark), Toronto, Brussels,
London (Heathrow), Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Colombo,
Bangkok, Kathmandu, Dhaka, Kuwait, Bahrain, Muscat, Doha, Abu
Dhabi and Dubai.
Orient-Express launches Promotions Around Asia
