SAS launches Thailand - Europe Promotion

Scandinavian Airlines in Thailand has launched
new limited-period fares of 47,000 Baht for roundtrip Economy
Extra and 67,000 Baht for Business Class travel to 36 northern
European cities. Taxes and fees of around 12,500 Baht must be
added to the fares.

 Bookings must be made and issued no later
than 15 August for travel between 21 July and15 December 2009.
Other conditions may apply.

The 36 destinations include major urban gateways
in Scandinavia, Germany and Belgium such as Berlin, Stuttgart,
Dusseldorf, Hannover, Hamburg, Brussels, Oslo, Copenhagen,
Stockholm and Helsinki.

 The special price offer can also be used
for 26 smaller destinations across Denmark, Sweden and Norway.

On the ground, travellers receive 30kg baggage
allowance and priority boarding. Onboard they have video and audio
on demand and a power outlet for laptops. Passengers receive
150% EuroBonus points in Economy Extra and 200% in Business Class.

“Premium travellers in Thailand can now reach a wide range of
northern European cities affordably and in great comfort,” said Mr
Hakan Olsson, Director and General Manager for SAS in Southeast
Asia. “Our on-board Scandinavian service standards, dining and
audio-visual features ensure a pleasant roundtrip to some of the
most important cities in northern Europe.”

Travellers who
prefer Business Class can stretch out on a near-horizontal
sleeping bed and enjoy a 26cm personal screen, superior meal
services, a unique in-flight buffet bar, and business lounge
facilities at the airport.

Passengers who fly in Economy
Extra class enjoy a separate cabin, audio and video on demand, a
wider seat, and enhanced dining options.

Qantas launches Promotion in Singapore

Qantas is offering travellers departing
Singapore the chance to fly to eight cities around the world from
just Sin$498. The promotion is only available until 17 July 2009,
with special fares to Australia, India and Europe.

Return trips to travel hotspots in Europe, including Frankfurt and
London, are available from Sin$1330 and Sin$1510 respectively. Travel
to Europe is valid from 1 September to 19 November 2009.

Travellers looking for a unique Asia travel experience can take a
trip to India, Mumbai, from just Sin$570. Embrace Australian
hospitality by visiting Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and
Adelaide, with fares from as low as Sin$498. Travel to destinations
in Australia and India is valid from 1 August to 31 August 2009.

 Prices
quoted above are valid for return economy air travel, from
Singapore to selected destinations and include taxes and

Marriott signs Courtyard Hotel in Bucharest

Marriott has signed a management agreement for
its first Courtyard branded hotel in Romania.

The 187-room Courtyard by Marriott Bucharest,
scheduled to open in 2011, will be located in the city center
within walking distance of the JW Marriott Hotel Bucharest.

Courtyard by
Marriott hotel guest rooms feature high definition, flat
screen television; high-speed internet access; large work desk and
ergonomic chair; in-room refrigerator; remotely accessible voice
mail; data port for computer modem hook-up and coffee makers in
each room.

For dining and entertainment, the Courtyard by Marriott Bucharest will have a casual restaurant
serving three meals daily and a lobby lounge and bar.

For
recreation, the hotel will have a fitness center. Business
services will be available adjacent to the front desk and The
Market, a “grab and go” kiosk, will provide various sundry items
and mini-snacks and sandwiches for those in-a-hurry.

For
social events and conferences, the hotel will have 2,890 square
feet of space comprised of a 2,430-square foot main meeting room
which will be divisible into two sections and two separate meeting
rooms in varying configurations.

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has signed a new property in Greece, the Fairmont Corfu Resort & Spa, slated to open in 2012.
The 240-room Fairmont Corfu Resort & Spa is located on the Greek island of Corfu, on the eastern coast of the island, bordered by olive groves, cypress-forested areas and sandy beaches with views of the Ionian Sea and the surrounding mountains.
