Four Seasons open hotel and spa in Mauritius

Posted November 25, 2008 , trackback

The Four Season Hotels and Spa Resorts has opened a new resort in Mauritius, complete with golf course designed by Ernie Els.
Bordering some of the largest lagoons and surrounded by mangroves and lush green vegetation, the resort cascades seamlessly along the east Mauritian coastline. The resort boasts an 18-hole golf course designed by Ernie Els, a single story pool and residence villas all carefully placed into the landscape in keeping with its natural harmonious look.

There is a large emphasis place on the family here and on the family spending time together as it often doesn’t have the time to do in everyday life, and family interaction within the natural elements of the island are encouraged such as swimming in the clear pools or the cascading waterfalls such as the Grande Riviere Sud Est , snorkelling and kayaking in the Ile aux Chats or running around one of the many nature reserves. These include Aigrettes with an abundance of plants, animals, reptiles and birds. There are also two children’s clubs available, one for teenagers and one for younger children. It’s easy to see the careful planning that has gone into the design of creating this getaway paradise. Every care has been taken to work with the natural beauty of the island such as carefully place water features peaking out from the behind the mangrove resulting in perfect harmony, the ideal setting for your rejuvenation at their luxury wellness centre. The Spa itself sits secluded and suspended over the water, a picture of tranquillity. There is a strong and clear influences from the islands ancestral healing rituals, ingredients for their medicines and their therapies along side three sandy beaches, four pools, fitness centre, boathouse, diving centre, four restaurants, a lounge bar and all round comprehensive leisure facilities.
